Are you a Art lover? Kannada Rangabhoomi is alive in this place. Local artists will give performances which will blow your mind. Even the technicians involved in visual & audio are talented. The place needs some rework though. Especially with cleanliness & making it family friendly but it’s fine it keeps the old Bangalore feel for sure. Good online presence like may be info about the play being performed would help the artists! They have shows at 3pm & 6pm is what I saw. Amazing theatrical experience, do support local artists & talent by watching!

Good place to visit and enjoy kannada dramas especially uttara karnataka dramas which is very near to majestic, but need to see hygiene, no cleanliness....

Gubbi Veeranna Rangamandira (GVR) is a theatre staging only Kannada plays throughout the year. Most of the dramas have good taste and convey across a social message. The auditorium is situated in the busy Gandhinagar area - a hub for cinema production, exhibition and commercial activities. The theatre has a seating capacity of 525. The show timings are: 3-15 pm and 6-15 pm every day and on Sundays, there will be an extra show at 12-15pm. The auditorium is named after one of the great theatre personalities of Karnataka - Gubbi Veeranna. The foundation stone was laid by the then Chief Minister Ramakrishna Hegde in 1987. Gubbi Veeranna Rangamandira was inaugurated on May 20th 1992 by the then Chief Minister, S Bangarappa. Now the theatre is under the purview of Malathi Sudheer(Actor Sudheer's wife). Toilets and Backstage of Theater are not maintained properly which needs to be upgraded.

Because it is not possible to get good management. Many of the chairs in the theater have already retired from their duties...😑 …
